Resources & Links

The books listed below represent a variety of perspectives connected with the topic of homosexuality.  We encourage people to read widely and to be as informed as possible when forming their own perspectives and in their interactions with others.

The books identified may contain helpful insights to better understand the complex process of integrating faith and sexual identity.  For those books that focus on an individual's personal journey, we would encourage readers to discern which insights are useful and helpful and to recognize that some insights may not apply in all situations.  We would also caution against projecting any theory or experience as a blanket answer to unique and individual journeys.  In particular, New Direction's understanding of the question of causation is that many different factors may have played a predisposing role in the experience of same-gender attraction; and that these different factors affect different people to different degrees.  Some of the books presented below may represent a different approach to issues of causation.

It is our prayer that these resources will encourage you to be a deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ, that you will be stretched in your thinking & grow in understanding, and that you will experience the full extent of God's love for you.
